The three-writ petition, Quo Warranto have filed by the office bearers of right wing organization Hindu Munnani before Madras High Court seeking removal of Udhayanidhi Stalin as minister for his remarks on Sanatana Dharma.

The petition seeking for the explanation that under what authority the Stalin, PK Sekarbabu and A Raja were continuing to hold public offices after participating in conference calling for the annihilation of the Sanatana Dharma.

After which, the advocate appearing for the Stalin submitted that the petitioners have not produced any proof to back their claim.

The background of the case

This years on the month of September, Udhayanidhi Stalin at a conference held by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association, had made a remark on Sanatana Dharma.

He said “Just like dengue, mosquitoes, malaria, or coronavirus need to be eradicated, we have to eradicate Sanatana”.

A single bench of Justice Anita Sumanth, directed the petitioners to submit their documents which is claiming that the ministers and the Member of Parliament had violated the Article 51A (c ) (e ) of the constitution of India.
