A single bench of Justice Prithviraj K Chavan of the Bombay High Court issued a directive to the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa to take action against a lawyer who appeared before the Court without adhering to the appropriate dress code.

The bench noted that the lawyer’s attire did not meet the required standards, specifically lacking the necessary bands and advocate’s gown as stipulated by the regulations.
