After division bench of Justice Anu Sivaraman and Justice C Jayachandran of Kerala High Court heard the habeas corpus petition and directed that the woman to leave with her father, after which his boyfriend slit his wrist outside the chamber of the Justice.

The woman’s father filed a habeas corpus petition alleging that she was being detained illegally by the man after they started residing together.  

 The woman decided to go with her father after which the said incident took place.
